LOGOS/Kidz J.A.M.
The LOGOS Program (Lots of Opportunity for Service) is a system that provides in-depth and well-rounded Christian nurture for youth and children of the church. The Program is intended to parallel the September to June school year with weekly meetings. The weekly meetings are made up of four basic segments: Bible, Play Time, Family Time and Worship Skills. One of the key elements of the LOGOS Program is the participation in Sunday morning worship. Our children & youth choirs, chimes groups, and puppeteers perform on different Sunday's thoughout the year. The LOGOS Program is unique in that it is based on the commitment of the entire congregation.

Ground Zero
Ground Zero is the Youth Ministry of Union Presbyterian Church that meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for middle & high school age students & is completely free of charge. Every Wednesday night, teens come from all over the area to play pool, air hockey, foosball, & video games at a church located in the middle of 2 corn fields in Kirkwood, PA.   "We're really out in the middle of no place in particular," said Drew Cope, Youth Director.   "But the teens are coming, some from 20 or 25 minutes away, to relax, have fun & worship God.   We've seen over 120 individual students come through the doors in the past month and a half & they are really excited about what's going on."   

"Ground Zero has two focuses; two things we emphasize," said Mike Atkins,
Youth Pastor of Ground Zero.  "We are serious about fun & we are serious
about God."   While there are a lot of activities and events, worship & Bible
based messages are the main focuses of the ministry.
